Abstract :
When diesel generator supplies power to nonlinear load, harmonic current will flow through its armature. This part of current will distort the armature reaction. This article analysed how harmonic current influence the magnetic field inside the synchronous generator, derived a formula that can describe the electromagnetic torque pulsation brought by harmonic current, and anaysed the electromotive force distortion, then gave an example based on MATLAB model. The example demonstrates how diesel generator vibrates under the distortion of harmonic current.
