Abstract
A novel method for designing SC (switched-capacitor) transformers is proposed. The method is carried out in Z domain and is simple and flexible. It uses properties of so-called basic passive SC three ports, and can synthesize circuits which cannot be derived from the classical passive SC networks composed of two ports. In particular, one can obtain a wider class of passive SC circuits and SC transformers than reported in the literature. The resulting structures are suitable for VLSI implementation
