Abstract :
Lot of importance is attached to the protection and storage of data. In case of any unprecedented event resulting in loss of data, the tolerance of people towards loss of data is very less. This paper aims at providing an efficient method for logical data recovery for USB devices which implement NTFS file system. This is a better alternative to low level scan. This technique has been further developed into software to analyze the various recovery parameters like data formats recovered, fragmentation and speed of recovery.
