Abstract :
In this paper some results of field measurements of Doppler characteristics of radar and optic signals backscattered by a rough surface are presented. These measurements was carried out on the lake near Nizhny Novgorod with two Doppler scatterometers (wavelength 3.2 cm and 0.8 cm) and the optical spectrum analyzer (OSA) which allows to get the spatio-temporal spectra of surface waves. Optical measurements allowed to single out the Bragg component of the surface wave spectrum and to determine its velocity
