In order to explore the spatial Nyquist limit of the EEG the authors recorded from an 8×8 array of scalp electrodes spaced one cm apart. 2D FFT plots of spatial frequency are shown that indicate a fall-off of higher spatial frequency content, but are inconclusive in establishing a limit
