  • Abstract
    With the advancements in technologies and busy lifestyles, online shopping has increasingly been accepted by the internet users. This has made great paces in providing a very convenient way of shopping. The reality is that billions of dollars are lost while doing online shopping over the e-commerce websites which is because the shoppers´ lack of knowledge about the online security threats. However the people should be aware of the security threats. The main objective of this report is to investigate and identify methods of doing secure online shopping in the United Arab Emirates. Quantitative and qualitative data have been gathered through literature review, surveys and interview to understand and analyze the buying habits on the online shoppers and their knowledge on the various security issues that may affect them. The analysis has clearly shown that people in UAE like to shop online but their knowledge on the various online security threats is not adequate. This report proposes different ways to improve the online buying habits.
