Abstract
For the characters of pursuit tracking for a small deviation and discontinuous behavior for a large deviation, an improved model is developed according to closed-loop aircraft-pilot characteristic. The discontinuous behavior model is developed by using sliding model control. The ideal surface is ascertained by pole placement, and the desired pilot model is set up. The pilot has pursuit tracking character for a small deviation, so a variable strategy model is put off, in which the saturation module is designed to replace the switch function in sliding model control. An application in the approach and landing task is given, and the new variable strategy model can describe both pursuit tracking character for a small deviation and discontinuous behavior for a large deviation, furthermore the simulation results for the optimal gain approximate the desired control based on sliding model controlling.
