Abstract :
The principle of a method of simulation computation of the Qext of cavities, which is based on the relationship of reflectance´s phase with frequency, is introduced, and the failure of the method is analyzed. It is concluded by quantitative analysis that the partial inductance coupling and the coupling slots in π mode double-gap cavities may bring about the failure of the method.
