Abstract :
The authors survey the literature on the switched reluctance motor (SRM) and drives. They present a classification scheme for the SRM drives that permits the SRM to be categorized based on the characteristics of motor design, controller circuit, performance, and applications. This performance review provides useful guidelines for comparing the SRM with different AC motor drives
