Abstract
As a spatial and a temporal method, AOA (angle of arrival) and TDOA (time delay of arrival) are well known methods to locate wireless terminal position and have developed independently. Combination of the two methods has not been possible due to lack of the applicable and practical channel models. A common channel model is presented for the data fusing methodology for position location estimation. The temporal COST-207 models are utilized to provide the angular information for the AOA method to be cooperated. The angular characteristics of the channel can be obtained from the given temporal channel model, hence the possibility of fusion is now possible. Different properties of the methods are revealed to verify the proposition. The spatial diversity inherent among many elements of the antenna array is exploited to get the better channel path of many multipaths
