Abstract :
The complexity of biological systems and the stability of biological rhythms were studied during musicogenic epilepsy and a few near-similar states and the results are reported in this work. EEGs (and ECGs) of four subjects were picked-up during these states. The complexity of the biological system was measured in terms of fractal dimension which was found to reduce considerably during epoch periods. Among the biological rhythms alpha wave and ECG were considered. In the case of the former, the stability of oscillation in term of the ratio of standard deviation and average was measured; it was found that the ratio was considerably increased during epoch period for some subjects. In the case of ECG, the average of the beat-rate was checked and it was also slightly reduced in the epoch period
