Abstract :
Cloud computing is the latest emerging computing technology where platform, data storage and IT services are provided over the internet. Due to vast availability of resources and numerous tasks being submitted to the task management becomes important for optimal scheduling which affects the efficiency of the whole cloud computing environment. In addition to the scheduling security is an important concern in cloud environment. Although there are various techniques implemented in the cloud environment for the security of the data storage in cloud [1]. But the security analysis provided in [1] is not feasible technique. The work implemented here provides security of the data storage in clouds using new concept of authentication using smart cards. The authentication provided using smart cards is an efficient technique which provides more security to the data storage in clouds.
