Abstract :
The current urban traffic demand of urban functional zonings is analyzed by studying the traffic characteristics. The modern urban transportation system of the urban rail transit as the backbone, supplemented by other public transport is studied. The unbalanced urban transport demand characteristics is found based on analyzing the utilization of transport capacity. There are adequate passengers during peak period, the city transportation system capacity was utilized fully. The relative scarcity passengers appear during conventional period flow period, which result in transport capacity idle and waste and affect the system resource utilization. To improve the resources effective of the urban rail transit system, increase the transport profits, the rail transportation demand management strategies are proposed for urban functional zoning.
