Abstract :
Ontology is significant for implementing communication content language in multi agent platform and thus crucial for implementing proposed manufacturing reconfiguration methodology in multi agent system of reconfigurable assembly line. Ontology modeling and its role in multi agent platform especially for multi agent manufacturing environment was analyzed. Ontologies model suitable for agent communication and coordination for multi agent platform of reconfigurable assembly line is focused on. Content of proposed ontology model is constructed according to two functions, satisfying assembly process knowledge description and supporting reconfiguration procedure. Modelling method is thoroughly explained and the ontologies model is modeled by Protege, and the proposed ontology model has been used in our platform developed by Zeus.
