  • Abstract
    As alternative to the commonly adopted S-parameter retrieval procedure, open-ended coaxial line method for determination of effective permittivity and permeability of metamaterials is proposed. Results of numerical simulation of reflection coefficient as a function of frequency are presented; limitations and advantage of the method are discussed. Losses effect on sensitivity of the method is considered.
