Abstract
A folded microstrip antenna is proposed to reduce the ground plane size required for efficient radiation, thus making the antenna more compact. The paper shows the quarter-wavelength folded microstrip antenna. The backside of a conventional microstrip antenna is used as a ground plane of the proposed antenna.
