Abstract :
A novel 6GHz lowpass filter using defected ground structure (DGS) is presented in this paper. An equivalent circuit derived by 3D field analysis method is suggested for the proposed defected ground structure. The equivalent circuit parameters are extracted by using a simple circuit analysis method. Finally, the lowpass filter are designed and measured. The experimental results show good agreement with theoretical results and demonstrate that simple structure, small size, excellent stopband performance could be obtained through the proposed lowpass filter.
