Abstract :
A new guidance law for multipurpose unmanned attack air vehicle (MUAAV) is proposed. It is the improved proportional navigation guidance law by employing the continuous time nonlinear predictive control theory, i.e. the predictive proportional navigation guidance law. As same as many other guidance law, this guidance needs information about the target acceleration for its implementation, but the target acceleration usually is not available. Therefore, it is very necessary to estimate the target acceleration. To solve this issue, the alpha-beta filter based a new acceleration estimation scheme is introduced. Then, the performance and effectiveness of this new guidance law is demonstrated by simulation, and the result shows that this guidance law is very effective in a scenario against a highly maneuvering target.
