Abstract
A novel method using the signal covariance matrix obtained by conventional beamforming to construct noise subspace projection (CNSP) is proposed. The spectrum resolution of subspace-based DOA estimation algorithm can be improved by forming the spatial spectrum using projection vectors. Theoretical analysis and numerical simulations demonstrate the efficiency of the CNSP method.
