Abstract :
In this paper, comparison of two T2 based analysis technique for measurements of myelin content, regularized non-negative least squares (rNNLS) algorithm and three-pool modeling method, have been presented. Simulation and in vivo experiments were performed for the comparison of the two techniques. For fair comparison, both discretely and continuously distributed T2 spectrum were considered in the simulations. The simulation and in vivo experiments have been demonstrated that three-pool model is more appropriate method for robust myelin water quantification.
