Abstract :
The test method given in MIL-STD-462 for the conducted susceptibility test CS01 has several limitations which can affect the performance of the unit under test as well as the test equipment. The authors propose several techniques developed to allow the CS01 test to be performed with minimum effect on the test equipment. The first approach to alleviating the problems of running CS01 on high current lines is to reduce the impedance inserted into the power line. A second technique improves the amplifier/load mismatch, while a third technique reduces the power frequency voltage at the output of the power amplifier. All these methods have been tested and have been shown to be successful
