Abstract :
In order to enhance the space images photographed in different time or in different views, a new image enhancement approach based on image registration is proposed in this paper. The structural features named triangular feature are made by the corners detected by an improved Harris method, and then they are matched by the Triangle congruence criteria. The centers of the matched triangles are fine matched using the MLESAC method. And next, the correct feature points are taken into the transform function to calculate the registration parameters. Finally, the registrated space images are superpositioned, and the dim objects are enhanced. Real images are used to verify this algorithm and the experimental results show that the algorithm can achieve accurate registration for the space image and the dim targets are significantly enhanced.
