            Abstract : 
The first results of the generation of a L-band-DEM resulting from E-SAR repeat-pass interferometric SAR-data are presented. The modifications that are required to adapt the conventional phase-to-height conversion algorithms to the L-band repeat-pass case are described. The different height of the scattering phase center in L-band are compared with a single-pass X-band DEM by calculating a difference DEM. The results are discussed with the focus on using the L-band for a foliage penetrating radar
