  • Abstract
    Based on the grey system direct modeling method, we put forward a method of modeling Logistic under the criterion of minimizing sum of the squares of the modified relative error (SSMRE), and applied it in the U.S.A population forecasting. Results show that this method can remarkably reduce mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) and the built model can preferably represent the whole historical population law. The process of modeling shows that this method is more convenient than the traditional modeling method.
