Abstract
In this paper, two kinds of contacts including non-radial-slotted and radial-slotted cup-type axial magnetic field (AMF) contacts were simulated and computed by using 3D finite element method. The influences of the slope angle of the cup-finger, the number of slots on the contact plate, the alternate angle between contact-slots and the contact gap distance on the AMF at contact gap, the eddy current on the contact plate and the phase shift time of the AMF were analyzed and studied. The results can provide a reference for the study and design of vacuum interrupters.
