Abstract :
There has been little work in developing comprehensive research tools which would allow the researcher to study the complete interval and external structure of the cell as well as automatically classifying the cell structure. The authors describe an effort to combine these three functions into one computer-based imaging system. A description is given of the first part of this system, which is used to display and rotate three-dimensional reconstructions of the exterior of arthropod immunocytes from serial sections.<>
