Title :
Ethics within the corporate structure [EMC]
Author_Institution :

Abstract :
The author discusses several issues facing the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) engineer today. It is pointed out that ethics and the corporate bottom-line are many times at odds with one another. Sometimes unethical conduct and practices occur within EMC departments due to pressures from management to give them the answers they want to hear. Interdepartment communication plays a key role in running an efficient and respected EMC department. The corporate commitment in dollars is many times superficial and misdirected. These and other important issues such as liability, the decision triangle and EMC engineer, and the credibility, independence, and integrity of the EMC test lab are discussed in detail
