Abstract :
The distinct features of the proposed scheme are the use of: a hybrid direct-sequence/frequency-hopping (DS/FH) system to increase processing gain; a tunable microwave bandpass filter to reduce overall bandwidth; a low-noise wideband amplifier to reduce the noise figure and increase sensitivity; a soft limiter to cope with strong CW interference without causing intermodulation problems. A DS/FH hybrid system has been employed in the proposed scheme so that a much higher processing gain than that of a single DS or FH system can be achieved without technical difficulties
