Abstract
Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (DECT), is a powerful and comprehensive standard capable of addressing multiple applications. The base standards were completed in 1992, and the first products became available during 1993. The early products were for the business and the residential markets; later products for cordless LANs, local loop and public mobility applications were being developed.
