Abstract :
A novel self-similar fractal antenna based on complementary Sierpinski gasket with respect to square patch is investigated. The integration and use of RF MEMS switches are also investigated for developing reconfigurable multi band wireless antennas for applications such as GPS, DCS-1800, PCS-1900, IMT-2000/UMTS and UN11. The reconfigurability of proposed fractal patch is simulated for the on/off conditions of MEMS switches and the results are found to satisfactory for multi band wireless applications.
