Abstract
In order to meet the extensive, ever increasing user´s requirements of transportation information services, an architectural framework of integrated transportation information service system is proposed. As an essential factor and driven force of the system, user requirements are analyzed and modeled. Analysis and modeling of business services are also described. User requirement pattern (URP) and business service pattern (BSP) are defined as the unified and normalized representations of the user requirements and business services in the system, respectively. The mapping process from URPs to BSPs is designed to ensure the flexibility and adaptability of the system. A four-layer architectural framework is deployed to provide powerful transportation information services for various users in the changing environment.
