Abstract :
Two applications of optical data links in the field of medicine are presented. Both are technical systems working as vision aids for people suffering from blindness due to irregularities in their visual system. The first system is an intraocular vision aid (IOS) for people with a blurred cornea, and the second is a retinal implant (EPI-RET)
