Abstract
In the early phase of a design process, conceptualization and preliminary refinement are important processes in deciding the quality of a product; however, their implementation in computer systems is difficult. Interactive evolutionary computation (IEC) has provided us a solution to this problem by ignoring the designer´s load of interacting with the system frequently. In this study, we extend the IEC by introducing EFS (evaluation function synthesizing system) and show that it contributes to alleviating such a load.
