Abstract :
This paper addresses the challenge of high quality enlargement of coded video frames. The proposed method uses a combination of hierarchical processing, forward warping and backward warping to adaptively determine the high definition output pixels. Experimental results show that the proposed method can achieve an average of 2-4 dB PSNR improvement over conventional frame interpolation methods while preserving robust performance in the face of complex motion.
