Abstract :
Based on the investigation of field experimental data and methodology of operation research, the paper analyzes the relationship between irrigation quota and wheat yields in semi-arid region. It proposes three optimization models including irrigation quota for utilization of water resources in the region, the optimum water distribution model in canal system and the dynamic simulation model of optimum distribution of irrigation quota within the period of crop growth seasons, respectively. Finally, a case study is conducted applying these models in Hexi Corridor of Gansu province and the results indicate that the proposed method has good applicability to address practical problems.
