Abstract :
In this paper, a 32×8 radiator array based on quasi-Yagi antenna is designed to satisfy the requirements of one-dimension wide-angle scanning phased-array antenna. The radiators are simulated and optimized with the 3D FEM full-wave simulation software Ansoft HFSS, and then a 32×8 radiator array is fabricated and its VSWR and radiation characteristics are measured. In X band, the frequency bandwidth is more than 20%, when the measured VSWR is less than 1.3, and the measured H-plane 3dB beam width is larger than 90°. The radiator array has satisfied the requirements of H-plane one-dimension wide-angle scanning phased-array antenna.
