The current state of valuating early stage technologies: Anecdotal evidences and a new conceptual model

Early technology valuation has been a critical element in the process of technology commercialization. Current methods have been overly theoretical in methodology, and an aggregated view is yet to be witnessed. In this research, a series of field interviews and existing literature provided guidance for us to develop a technology valuation framework that comprehensively integrated quantitative and qualitative techniques for the valuation of early stage technologies. A heuristic method is also developed to implement necessary computational methods.
