  • Abstract
    A new prototype of an AWA (ATM wireless access) system was designed, fabricated and tested. This system provides next-generation seamless multimedia personal communication. This paper describes the design and performance of a TDMA based radio component developed for an AWA system prototype. The prototype employs the 25 GHz radio component based on TDMA-TDD and realizes high-speed ATM transmission. Especially, the paper focuses proposed TDMA control to realize new MAC protocol, error control scheme and branch/sector antenna diversity scheme and its control techniques. Further, this paper shows the experimental result. It performed as designed
