Abstract
Human capital is the foundation of regional economy sustainable development. And the potential human capital is the basis of human capital, so the potential human capital for the development of the region economy also has positive influence. The article, based on the number of college graduates as the proxy variable, verifies the effect that the potential human capital on regional economic growth. And put forward the suggestion that backward areas can narrow the economic disparity which compared with developed area through improving the level of human capital.
