  • Abstract
Gothic is a distributed operating system under development at INRIA, Rennes. This system is designed to support the execution of a parallel object-oriented language on a network of multiprocessor machines. In order to provide efficient execution of programs in a transparent way on such an architecture some problems have to be considered: memory management, and scheduling. These facilities are currently implemented on top of the Mach 3.0 micro-kernel. The paper relates these different aspects
