Abstract :
We propose a new method of designing reduced-order controllers by using a genetic algorithm with Youla parametrization. Since it is difficult to search for the reduced-order controller directly, we obtain a reduced-order controller indirectly by the search for a full-order controller, the reduced-order controller of which has approximate optimal full-order controller performance.
