Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to offer a snapshot of the evolution of innovation in China from the angle of the intellectual property policy initiatives. Based on a detailed investigation in the intellectual property sector, it also tries to reveal the dilemma in China´s intellectual property pushing innovation, and whether China has succeeded in forming a synergistic relationship between technology policy and intellectual property system. It argues that China, as a huge and fast-going emerging economy, needs to rethink its innovation and intellectual property Policy in based on a long-term strategic consideration.
