Abstract :
The Yokogawa Electric Corporation has been developing distributed process control systems (DCS) since 1975. As the core of plant control, the DCS has placed increasingly severe demands on reliability. This paper describes the fault tolerant technology of the Duplexed Field Control Station in DCS and the online exchange and concurrent operation of current and new CPU cards technology supporting long-term use.
