Abstract :
One of the largest American automobile manufacturers today, Ford, has been raising quality control measures to ensure high quality automobiles. In 1993 one of their employees, Joe Vigo, was awarded American Society of Quality Control´s (ASQC) 1993 Quality Leader Award. Vigo played an important role in the development of Ford´s Dimensional Control Plan, which has completely changed Ford´s concept of quality control
