Abstract :
This paper demonstrates an active vibration control system of a flexible plate structure by using PZT sensors and actuators. Collocated sensor/actuator pairs were used in many experiments. Two main problems of the configuration are pointed out and demonstrated when collocated control is used for flexible structures with one end fixed and the other end free. An improved method is brought forward and the vibration control experiment on 2-D flexible plate shows that the improved method is effective.
