Abstract :
A new PWM technique is introduced based on the slope of the signal modulator. The technique was simulated and tested in the laboratory and results show that it generates very high quality voltages with few commutations. It was compared to other recent PWM techniques and achieved higher quality waves and greater fundamental R.M.S. voltage, with less than 65% of commutations per cycle. Its formulation is simple, itpsilas easy to implement and has a high degree of controllability.
