Abstract
We study the mapping of the integrated services IP (ISIP) traffic descriptors to the ATM counterparts, for the MPEG2 video traces developed in our lab. We also investigate the effects of internetworking on ATM traffic descriptors, where ATM is to form a link in the path of a point-to-point connection. In this regard, we demonstrate how the datagram size, the interval during which the source rates are specified, and how the scheduling discipline affect the traffic entering the ATM subnetwork
