Abstract :
In order to solve the problems existed in servo press control system, a new fractional order PID control strategy based on fractional calculus is presented for the slide position control system. For actually implementation, an approximation method to realize the designed fractional order PID controller is introduced. The simulation results indicate that the fractional order PID controller, if properly designed and implemented, will work better than the traditional integer order PID controller.
