Abstract
This study is going to use Grey System Theory on analyzing the different types of the first van Hiele´s geometric thinking level. There are five levels of the van Hiele´s geometric thought: ¿visual¿, ¿descriptive¿, ¿theoretical¿, ¿formal logic¿, and ¿the nature of logical laws¿ as well as nine types in the first level. The results of this study not only identify the easiest and the most difficult concepts for students, but also display that the Grey Model can really found out the fact, therefore the analysis of Grey Model is better than that of tradition method.
