Abstract :
In this paper, we present a new calibration technique of phased array antennas - mid-field calibration technique (MFCT). The key to the technique is to test transmitting signals of each array element by a reference antenna locates on three fixed positions in front of the test array respectively. Then the calibration parameters can be obtained by the data processing method of MFCT. We build a test system applied in a low sidelobe phased array. The calibrating results using MFCT close to the results using near field.
